Gaming peripheral companies often come out with limited- and special-edition colourways of their popular devices. SteelSeries is celebrating the Year of the Dragon with a special-edition Dragon Arctis Nova 7 series gaming headset, now available for pre-order.

Not just any special-edition gaming headset, the Dragon Arctis Nova 7 was designed by a collective of SteelSeries product managers and designers of Chinese and Taiwanese heritage. The headset honors “their heritage and culture, the traditions of family gatherings and festivals, and celebrates the beginning of the 2024 Lunar New Year.”
As for the design, the special edition headset is centered around a dragon (Lóng), one of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals (Zhōngguó shí’èr shēngxiào dòngwù), the dragon icon has been sculpted with softer edges, giving it a more modern look. The dragon’s body wraps around the Chinese character for “dragon” and sits atop a stack of lucky clouds (xiángyún). Hidden beneath the dragon that is emblazoned on the speaker plates, a circular version of the Chinese character for good fortune (Fú) adorns the ear cups, while the headband takes the shape of a dragon’s scales. The deep red colorway symbolizes prosperity in life and is accented with bold gold symbolizing money and fortune.
